Shrimps are one of my favorite sea food dishes. This is a favorite local Kerala style of cooking shrimps with think masala curry and goes very well with rice or flat bread. The creamy sauce gets cut through by the little spice, which gives a wonderful experience. Be sure to try dishes like this when visiting Kerala down in South India.

Ingredients
For Masala Prawns
300gm Medium Prawns (shelled)
1 Onion & 2 cloves Garlic (ground)
1 sprig Spring Onion (chopped)
1 Tomato (chopped)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Chilly Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 pinch Mustard Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Fenugreek Seeds
3 Cloves
2-3 Tbs Coconut Cream
Coconut Oil, Salt, Pepper
Preparation
Peel the Prawns, de-vein the Prawns.
Boil the shell and head of the Prawns in a bit of water to extract a little broth
Heat up oil in pan, fry the Mustard Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Fenugreek Seeds until crackling
Add ground Onion and Garlic. Fry for 3 min.
Add the spices. Fry for 3 mins
Add Tomatoes, fry until broken down.
Add the Prawn broth/liquid. Cook. Season with Salt.
Add the Prawns, cook for 2 mins.
Add the Coconut Cream. Bring to boil and turn off the heat.
Add in Spring Onions.
Serve after a few minutes.
