Aloo Gobi (Spicy Indian Potato and Cauliflower)
Ingredients
For Aloo Gobi
- 1 large Potato (Peeled and cubed)
- 1 cup Cauliflower (cut)
- 1 green Chilly (chopped)
- 1 medium Onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (chopped)
- ½ cm Ginger (chopped)
- 1 Tomato (chopped)
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hinq)
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- ½ tsp Chilly powder
- ½ tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Mango powder
- Vegetable Oil, Salt
Preparation
- Heat up a small pan, with 2 Tbs of Vegetable oil.
- Add the Cumin seeds and fry, then add the Asafoetida. Fry until crackles.
- Add the Onion, Garlic, Ginger, fry until soft.
- Add the spice powders, fry until fragrant.
- Then add the Tomatoes. Fry until broken down. Then add ½ cup Water.
- Add the Potato and Cauliflower, cook for 10 minutes until soft and masala is dry.
- Serve with flat bread.
- Enjoy.
