Kerala Kappa (Tapioca) Biryani





Ingredients
For Kerala Kappa Biryani
- 2 cups Tapioca (cut into pieces)
- 1 cup meat (beef, lamb, chicken)
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (chopped)
- 1 cm Ginger (chopped)
- 3-4 small green Chillies
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- ½ tsp Fennel Seeds
- ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Chilly Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Coconut Oil

Preparation
- Boil the meet pieces in water with Salt and little pinch of Turmeric until soft. (30 minutes)
- Boil the Tapioca pieces in water with Salt and a pinch of Turmeric until soft.
- Heat up pan with Coconut oil. Fry the Mustard, Fennel, Cumin seeds until crackle.
- Add in Onions, Garlic, Ginger, Green Chilly and Curry Leaves. Fry until Onions are soft.
- Add in the Turmeric, Coriander and Chilly Powder and fry until fragrant.
- Add some water and bring to boil. Add the meat back. Cook for 10 minutes. Season with Salt and Pepper.
- Drain the Tapioca and add back to the Masala. Mix well and serve hot.
- Enjoy.
