Japanese Takoyaki (Octopus Ball)





Ingredients
For Takoyaki (To be finely chopped)
- 1 cup Cabbage
- 1 slice Ginger
- 2-3cm Carrot

Other ingredients for batter
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- 1 Egg
- Salt/Pepper to taste
- Water

For Stuffing
- Anything in a small size. Cube of Cheese, Sausages, Octopus, Shrimp etc

For Seasoning/Garnishing
- Japanese Mayonnaise
- Takoyaki Sauce
- Dried Bonito Fish Flakes

Preparation
- Chop up vegetables into a very fine chop
- Add Egg and Flour into vegetables with sufficient water to make a semi thick batter. Season with Salt/Pepper.
- Heat up Takoyaki Pan, fill with a little oil.
- Put half batter into the holes and add the stuffing. Then cover up with balance batter.
- Form into round balls as it cooks. Fry until golden brown.
- Remove and serve, topped with Takoyaki Sauce, Mayonnaise and Bonito Flakes.
