French Onion Soup
Ingredients
For French Onion Soup
- 2 medium size Onions (French or Red), sliced as thinly as possible
- 1.5 Tbs Wheat Flour (All Purpose Flour)
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 2 Cloves
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Water
For toasted Baguette
- Few slices of Baguette
- Butter
Preparation
- Slice the Onions as thinly as possible.
- Heat 3-4 Tbs of Olive Oil in small pot, add the sliced Onions and some salt.
- Slowly cook the Onions until very soft and translucent, taking care not to burn them.
- Add Flour into the cooking Onions and continue cooking until Flour is toasted.
- Add 2 cups water and bring to a simmer. Add Bay Leaf and Cloves, Salt and Pepper to taste
- Continue cooking until almost broken down.
- Butter the Baguette and toast in oven
- Serve the French Onion soup with the toasted Baguette.
- Enjoy!
