Filipino Chicken Adobo





Ingredients
For Chicken Adobo
- ½ Chicken (cut into bite sized pieces)
- 4 cloves Garlic (sliced thinly)
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 Dried Red Chilly (deseeded)
- 2 Tbs Dark Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbs Light Soy Sauce
- 3-4 Tbs White Vinegar
- 1 Tbs Sugar
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste
- 2-3 Tbs Vegetable Oil
- Cornstarch/Water for thickening

Preparation
- Marinade the Chicken with the Dark Soy Sauce and Light Soy Sauce. Leave for 1 hour.
- Heat up oil in pan. Pan fry the Chicken for a  few minutes.
- Pour in the remaining marinade and 1 cup of Water.
- Add in Garlic, Bay Leaves, White Vinegar, Sugar, and Black Pepper.
- Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until tender in slow flame.
- Season with Salt, and thicken with Cornstarch mixture.
- Enjoy!
