Chinese Glutinous Rice with Chicken (Lor Mai Kai)





Ingredients
For Lor Mai Kai (2 servings)
- 1 Chicken Breast (cut into bite size)
- 4 Chinese Mushrooms (soaked)
- 1 Chinese Sausage (cut)
- 2 cups Glutinous White Rice (soaked)

For Chicken Marinade
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Roasted Sesame Oil
- 1 pinch Chinese 5-Spice Powder
- Salt/Pepper

For Rice Marinade
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
- Salt/Pepper

Preparation
- Cut up the Chicken Breast. Marinade the Chicken Breast with the ingredients and set aside.
- Rinse the rice (which has been soaked for at least 1 hour). - Drain, and marinade with the ingredients and set aside.
- Take 2 bowls (porcelain or metal is fine). Put a dash of Sesame Oil at the bottom.
- Lay the Chinese Mushroom, top side down, then the Chinese Sausage. Then lay the Chicken.
- Top the rice over the Chicken and press down.
- Add ¼ cup of water to each bowl, and steam for at least 30 minutes or until Rice is soft.
- Let it cool. Then un-mould.
- Serve and Enjoy!
